Morel introduces its "crown jewel" - the new high-end Supremo family

Las Vegas, Nevada - January 5, 2006 When Meir Mordechai founded Morel in 1975, his dream - to create the perfect loudspeaker - turned into his life's work. Today, Morel has a worldwide reputation as innovative loudspeaker manufacturers. The company is celebrating its 30th Anniversary by launching new additions to its top-of-the line Supremo range. Built for audiophiles, Supremo leverages three decades of technological firsts, design excellence, and manufacturing know-how to deliver unsurpassed performance.

Redefining the state of the art in car audio
"Our goal is to create the best possible car audio sound system - a system that is both practical to install and provides exceptional sound. With this in mind, we developed the Supremo tweeter, our jewel in the crown," says Mordechai. Launched in 2001, Supremo offered a deeper sound stage and an improved stereo image for high-end car systems. Building on the success of the tweeter, Morel's Supremo series includes the new Acuflex™ coated 1.1" (28mm) Supremo Piccolo tweeter with a 2.6" (68mm) faceplate, the Supremo 1.1" (28mm) tweeter with a 4" (100mm) faceplate and Supremo 5SW, 6SW, 8SW woofers, offered as separate components and as 2-way component systems.

"The success of any sound system begins with the drivers," says Mordechai. Morel invests great resources in driver design, exercising total manufacturing control to provide novel solutions to the challenges presented by car audio environments. Morel's drivers are designed to perform well in off-axis and on-axis installation, providing car audio enthusiasts great system design flexibility.

The Supremo series incorporates many of the company's innovations that made it a leader in car and home audio. Supremo is based on Morel's under-hung voice coil configuration, which allows the voice coil to move in a significantly higher magnetic field and remain there at all times during operation. This configuration enables a linear excursion of the coil in the magnetic field, thereby eliminating inter-modulation distortion and considerably improving the dynamic range.

The Supremo series also utilizes Morel's Hybrid™ and Double Neo™ magnet motor design, Hexatech™ voice coil, and 3" EVC™ (External Voice Coil). Supremo tweeters are renowned for its transient response, wide dynamic range and natural sound, while the woofers have high power handling capability, very low and natural bass notes extension, "At Morel, superb design and technological innovation go hand in hand," comments Mordechai. "We are confident that car audio lovers will get many hours of listening pleasure from Supremo."

With the addition of the Supremo Piccolo and three different woofers, Morel offers installers wider choice coupled with all-around superb sound. "Supremo is the pinnacle of thirty years of research and development, offering enthusiasts the very best Morel has to offer," concludes Mordechai.

The new Supremo Piccolo and Supremo woofers will be available during 2nd quarter of 2006.
